[REC]³ Genesis Audience Reviews

Cebalord Very best movie i ever watch
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Beulah Bram A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
hellholehorror 22 minutes until the title! Genesis refers to the less shaky filming style, nice look and amazing sound, chainsaw bride, emotional ending. Generic zombie film, 5 of these films and only Quarantine (2008) is worth watching, preposterous in places, stupid religious angle, not funny or scary.
Napoleon Bonaparte They should've kept the hand-held camera style instead of changing it. It just killed the atmosphere and soul of the movie. There's a reason it's called REC. It's supposed to be from the POV of the person recording. Even if you ignore that, it's still a pretty weak movie. It's not nearly as entertaining as the previous two. It's just kinda there. If you wanna watch it then do it. You'll probably like it, but I personally hate it for getting rid of the hand-held camera. It was the first thing I noticed and it will stay with me until I die. Never forgive Never forget
breanneneely I went into this movie with no expectations even tho I had seen the first two in the series. Does this movie compare to them, or even the fourth? No. But if you look at it as a stand alone film it's not bad at all. To me it's very reminiscent of 80s horror. The plot is easy to follow but really doesn't have anything to do with the other three movies. There's plenty of blood and gore but this movie just feels a lot lighter than the other three. Seeing the first two I never thought I would laugh as much as I did with this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. I do get why people don't like this movie especially if you've see the first two Recs; it just doesn't compare. But if you take this film out of the series then it's not bad at all, even pretty good. It doesn't work as a Rec movie but as a zombie movie it hits the mark. So my suggestion is if you're going to watch this movie don't look at is as part of the Rec series; watch it as a stand alone zombie flick. And if you're watching the Rec series, skip this one.
Adam Peters (44%) The series that marks a high-point in the found-footage fad comes this decent little time-passer. At a mere 1 hour 20 minutes in length this is still a vastly over-long film for the plot that involves a somewhat typical, and I must say very lavish Spanish wedding that is invaded by zombie demons. And that's about it really. Pretty much the entire wedding ceremony is recorded hand-held style, then once things start to get messy (interesting) this then ditches it and moves into a standard shot film. It's pretty clear that the makers, like almost everyone else, have grown tired of that method of film-making to the point in which they actually mock sub-genre's flaws at one point. The mayhem featured is entertaining, but this is a hollow, quite childish gore flick that unlike the other films in the series this completely lacks all scares. Overall this is worth a look for fans and gore flicks in general, but it's too flawed and base to be a must watch.
